Spring Break Spending Spree

After today I’m definitely lowering my expectations for what I can accomplish this week. If I don’t, I’ll reach the end of the week disappointed.

Today though I did cross a lot off my list though, starting with a hair cut.

(This is after a few hours of battling wind and constant brushing back. I have a hard time keeping my hands off my hair when I first get it cut.)

Then I went shopping. I’ve needed new workout clothes for quite some time. (If you won’t tell, I won’t but it’s been at least a year and a half, maybe 2.) I just wish it wasn’t so expensive. 😀 At least I don’t have to buy new workout shirts. I pay enough for races as it is.

my loot

Of course, Narnia and Harry Potter have nothing to do with working out. I just had to own them.

I had to stop back by the house before making another stop. I faced the dilemma of not much time and no ideas for lunch. When it comes to food I have very little creativity. Case in point:

cinnamon raisin bread w/pb, popcorn and fruit leather

(Supper at least was better: whole wheat gnocci [delish!] and mixed veggies)

Then I made one final stop. I needed a new journal and had a coupon for a little guilty pleasure. I ended up with a beautiful journal (an unlined one…first!)

and the guilty pleasure.

I can’t wait to delve into this!

Finally I rounded out the day with a new gym class, cardiosculpt and an easy 2 mile run. My thoughts on cardiosculpt? I liked it. My arms will be sore tomorrow. There wasn’t much cardio though. With the early start time I might not make it back any time soon.

  1. Oooh, sounds like fun. 🙂 I know what you mean about touching your hair after you get it cut. I’m constantly running my hands through mine to enjoy that silky salon feel! LOL

  2. It was a ton of fun! Thanks!

Wait, I’m not supposed to touch my hair after I get it cut? But the girl always parts it wrong…:D

We need to watch Voyage of the Dawn Treader. I have yet to see it.

  4. Yes! We definitely should. Funny thing is… Mom hasn’t seen it either. I think I’m the only 1 in our immediate family that has.
