1. So, the first favorite is not a thing, it’s an action.
I tried forever (okay just a few minutes) to find a foursquare icon with that “not allowed” red circle and line across it or a way to superimpose the icon. No luck. I am not tech savvy that way. I’ll just tell you instead.
When I first got my iPhone I downloaded the foursquare app but didn’t open it until just before my San Francisco trip. I was hooked. The idea of earning points, mayorships, badges and other fake stuff really appeals to me. I know. I’m odd. Then when I started school I got a kick out of earning mayorships everywhere on campus, including the school itself.
There’s a whole lot of other stuff that goes along with foursquare that I won’t get into. I realized though that I spent a lot of time with it and trying to figure out new places to get points or to remember to check in. I decided yesterday (when I went nowhere) that I’d had enough. I didn’t need it.
What a sense of freedom. I’m quite thrilled to be done with it.
2. Justin’s Maple Almond Butter
I love this stuff! I’m fairly certain I’ve mentioned it before here but I’m so excited that I get to have it again. Now that I have very little income treats like these will remain treats.
I had a coupon this time so I had to snap it up.
3. Fall + Starbucks’ seasonal lattes
I couldn’t let the official first day of fall (though it did not feel like it) pass without any mention.
I have to admit that I’m not as big a fan of pumpkin as I thought I was. Be that as it may I love the holidays and all of Starbucks’ seasonal drinks. It’s only a matter of time before the red cups are back.
I love my iPad, iPhone, iPod and computer. I feel so blessed to own these pieces of technology and blessed with all the ways I can make use of the technology.
For instance, I just discovered an app that makes it fairly easy to read my google documents on the iPad. This way I can read my notes to study and still be mobile.
5. Fall TV
I talked about it Tuesday but I’m so excited for all the new shows, so excited I turned down a coupon for a Blockbuster express rental tonight. (I still have the coupon code.) How could I miss the season premieres of Chuck, CSI:NY, and Blue Bloods?
I get to run a 5k tomorrow and I didn’t have to pay for it.
Of course, I’m not racing it since I have 3-4 miles to get in before the race and 8-10 after (total 16) but a race is a race. It’s definitely going to count towards my new goal of 40 races by my 27th birthday. 😉
As a side note, I don’t think I’ve ever worn so much pink. It probably won’t happen again.
